‘Wish We Were Real!’ reimagines the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice - a timeless tale of love, loss, and the pursuit of the impossible. This myth becomes a metaphor for emotional descent, echoed in the silhouettes, textures, and materials throughout the collection. Themes of longing, movement, and transition informed my work both conceptually and visually. The collection blends casual tailoring with subtle streetwear references to create a contemporary silhouette. The silhouettes also draw inspiration from early 1900s Antarctic expeditions - layered, protective garments designed for survival in extreme conditions. Like Orpheus, those explorers ventured into the unknown, facing vast and unforgiving terrain. Their clothing became tools of endurance, much like Orpheus’s music became a form of resistance and hope.
